About Us
Our Story.
Halo Support Group was founded on a simple but powerful belief: that every person with a disability deserves support that is genuinely built around them — not around a roster, a system, or a funding line.
We started as a small, passionate team who had seen firsthand how traditional disability services often left people stuck. Hours were filled, reports were written, but real progress was rare. Participants were supported to exist, not to grow. We knew there had to be a better way.
So we built one. Halo was designed from the ground up as a team-based service — where every participant benefits from a whole crew of skilled, coordinated workers, not just whoever happened to be available that shift. We built in accountability. We built in documentation. We built in honest, neuro-affirming relationships that hold high expectations alongside genuine care.
Today, Halo delivers a full continuum of support — from community participation and daily living skills through to vocational training, employment readiness, respite care, and driver training. We walk alongside participants from their first steps toward independence all the way to workforce entry and reduced support needs.

Our Values.
Everything we do is shaped by a set of core values that guide how we show up, every single day.
01
Inclusivity
People first, always
Every decision we make starts with the participant. Supports are consent-based, directed by the individual, and designed around what matters most to them — not what is easiest for us.
02
Quality Support
Outcomes over hours
We measure our success by the real progress participants make, not by the hours we log. If we are not moving someone forward, we are not doing our job.
03
Accountability
Proactive, not reactive
We build skills and resilience before problems arise. Our approach is about equipping people for life, not managing crises after they happen.
04
Integrity
Neuro-affirming with real standards
We meet participants where they are — with patience, respect, and understanding. But we also believe in honest feedback and genuine accountability, because real progress requires both.
05
Communication
Transparency and trust
We communicate openly with participants, families, and care teams. Our documentation is thorough, our processes are clear, and we always keep people informed.
